Public Conversion Glitches

We mentioned in our past post that VH was about to allow non-members to visit the site. They would be able to view videos and blog posts that their authors had set to Allow Anyone to view. This was to take place on October 1st.

There were technical difficulties in converting the database to mark the allowable content as viewable by non-members. This caused the entire VH site to be offline for several hours last night. The matter has been resolved and non-members should now be able to have a look around the site.

All social sites have conflict and this one is no different. Presently, people are disagreeing as to whether non-members should have been allowed in. There is also discussion about the security of the site and about the recent banning of a member who had also been controversial on YouTube in the past. But the tone of the discussions have been positive and the site is still a friendly place.

Currently, there are over 1200 members and nearly 5000 uploaded videos on VloggerHeads.
